Types Of Air Conditioner Systems We Work With
Installing air conditioning can be a headache, with so many different options to choose from. Our experts will provide guidance on the air conditioner system that is right for your needs, from the range we work with.
Single Split System
A single split air conditioning system has one indoor unit and one outdoor unit. Indoor air conditioning units can be either wall-mounted, ceiling cassettes, compact ceiling cassettes or ducted systems.
Twin, Triple Or Quad Systems
Twin, Triple or Quad systems have one outdoor unit linked to two, three or four indoor air conditioning units. Again, these can be wall-mounted, ceiling cassettes, compact ceiling cassettes or ducted systems. These systems are used when cooling or heating the same space (not separate rooms), and are run off of one controller.
Multi-room Systems
A multi-room air conditioning system has one outdoor unit, with a number of indoor air conditioning units that are piped back to the condensing unit. The indoor units can be installed in multiple rooms and can provide heating or cooling, but they cannot do both at the same time.
VRV & VRF Systems
VRV & VRF both refer to the same technology. VRV & VRF systems have an outdoor unit that can be linked to multiple indoor air conditioning units, which usually have individual and central controllers, allowing flexibility in cooling or heating a commercial space. The indoor units on a VRV & VRF system can be wall-mounted, ceiling cassettes, compact ceiling cassettes or ducted units.
How Air Conditioning Units Work
Air conditioners work by extracting hot air and releasing cool air back into your home or office building, much like a refrigerator. Simplistically, heat is absorbed when liquid becomes a gas, and this is how air conditioning works.
